Jess Roberts offers equitable co design expertise, guidance, applied learning, and on‐going support to healthcare organizations, government agencies, non-profits, and communities looking for new ways to approach persistent and complex problems, with an emphasis on creating shared power structures.

Jess is a highly sought-after partner for organizations and governmental agencies that are striving to improve health, wellbeing, and address inequalities through design and innovation.

Jess is a national thought and practice leader in co-design and engaging communities to create more equitable, healthy, and resilient communities, organizations, and governments. He is currently an affiliate of the University of Minnesota Design Center and an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Minnesota, School of Public Health where he leads the development and delivery of equitable HCD and co design curriculum.

Outside of work, he can be found attending one of his two son’s sporting events, fishing (open water or ice), and being outside with his wife and family.

Jess Roberts, Principal & Co-Founder

Ryan Bauers helps leaders and organizations navigate change, strengthen culture, and achieve strategic clarity through practical, human-centered consulting and coaching.

Ryan has been a trusted partner for leaders navigating growth, transformation, and complex challenges. He brings more than 20 years of executive leadership and consulting experience—spanning county government, international development, and community-based organizations in the U.S. and overseas.

Ryan is a seasoned facilitator and organizational health strategist, known for creating honest, human-centered spaces where leaders and teams can align on purpose, solve systemic problems, and build sustainable results. He holds two bachelor’s degrees and an MBA in Organization Development, Leadership & Change Management. He currently serves as an Organization Development Specialist for St. Louis County, leading strategic planning, project management, cultural assessment, and leadership development initiatives.

Outside of work, Ryan can be found snowboarding, surfing, mountain biking, or adventuring outdoors. He also loves spending time with his partner, three kids, and Springer Spaniel “Hiro”, especially when it involves fresh air and wide-open spaces.
